David H. Jackson, 61, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully Nov. 11th, 2007 at his home in Indianapolis, surrounded by his family and friends.He was born October 19, 1946 in Indianapolis to Earl and Ruth Jackson. He was in the first graduating class of Lawrence Central High School, and following graduation he attended Purdue University, studying Mechanical Engineering.Dave served his country honorably in the Navy during the Vietnam Era, and following that he worked at Jack & Jill’s, RCA, and for over 25 years at JDSU as a mechanical engineer.Dave was a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, and was also a member of the National Street Rod Association. He was especially proud of the ’23 T-Bucket Street Rod with an 8-ball billiards theme that he designed and helped to build.He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Jackson,Stepchildren:Raymond Morris Jr,Darlena Morris,Terry Morris I,Stepgrandchildren:Breanna Morris,Christopher Huskins,Terry Morris II,Dalton Morris,Emily Morris,Damon Morris,sister Diana Sampson,brothers Daniel & Robert Jackson,and his parents Ruth and Earl Jackson,and other family and friends.Visitation will be held Fri, Nov 16th from 10:30 – 12:00pm at Soldier’s Memorial Chapel, 5626 Lawton Loop East, Indianapolis, with the service to follow at 12:00.
